Grilled Teriyaki Chicken and Pineapple Skewers Recipe

1. Prepare the marinade 

In a bowl, mix together the teriyaki sauce. Reserve about 1/4 cup of the marinade for basting.

2. Marinate the chicken 

Place the chicken cubes in a shallow dish or a resealable plastic bag. Pour the remaining teriyaki marinade over the chicken. Make sure all the chicken pieces are coated evenly. Marinate in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours for maximum flavor.

3. Prepare the grill 

Preheat your grill to medium-high heat. Oil the grill grates lightly to prevent sticking.

4. Assemble the skewers 

Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the soaked wooden skewers, alternating with pineapple chunks.

5. Grill the skewers 

Place the skewers on the preheated grill. Grill for about 5-7 minutes on each side, or until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks. Remember to brush the reserved teriyaki sauce onto the skewers while grilling for extra flavor.

6. Check for doneness 

To ensure the chicken is fully cooked, you can use a meat thermometer. The internal temperature of the chicken should reach 165°F (75°C).

7. Serve hot 

Once the skewers are cooked through, remove them from the grill and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve hot, garnished with chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired.
